Price for features can’t be beat. Feasible to turn this into a RoonSpeaker?
It would be great to be able to take the music away with us, via sync (or via streaming), directly to mobile devices. Space is not an issue for us lucky Android users whom have Micro SD card capability and for the rest, there’s always streaming. I have a great little 24 bit DAC in my Sony Z5 that sounds quite good for a mobile. I came to Roon, specifically because Plex does not have 24 bit sync support and each time I raise it, they get all confused about what it is ultimately saying they alre…
As the title suggests - the user should be able to choose whether to scroll vertically, or horizontally as is the default in this software (e.g. when going through albums or artists). Most people would be used to vertical scrolling, and I would prefer this.
Too soon?
At the moment every album I play involves 3 clicks, it’s either a) click the cover, then click Play Album, then click the play symbol, or else I right click the cover then click Play at the top, then click the Play symbol. Play, play, play whichever way I do it. I’m sure this could be done with one click of Play less than now, even better would be a ‘one click play’ link (I like the JRiver system whereby the Play option appears under the cover art)
(My ‘Please’ in the title was added because …
Yes, it’s finally here and I’m incredibly excited! Roon natively streaming to the Devialet seemed like a far-fetched idea not too long ago.
So firstly, thank you, this is amazing!!
That said, your volume control is very easy to set to 100%. I know it can be disabled, but I’d still like to use it - but without fear!!!
Please could we have a user-definable volume limit in the zone config.
I don’t think mine has ever gone beyond -20 which is incredibly loud in my space. It’s max of +30 would…
These are the ones i could find… please feel free to add more in case i have missed
You can also add the ones that are “Not On Roadmap”

MQA software decoding in Roon SHOULD be in there. We were told we’d have it soon back in Jan of this year.

No, we were not:
We don’t estimate dates in public except for things that are extremely imminent (hours to a few away) and we only very rarely make statements about scheduling features to releases until those features are built and in alpha testing.
MQA is literally the last topic on earth that would provoke us to break that longstanding practice. There’s way too much attention and anticipation around it. If I said “X weeks” to you, someone else would notice and start counting down, and as soon as midnight passed on whatever day someone assumed we meant, our inboxes would be filled with complaints and grumbling if it wasn’t released yet.
Sorry, we’ve been there before, and we won’t do it again. We’ll share more when we can.
It’s definitely on the roadmap though.
thanks for collating these.
It is very cool that Roon has taken note of suggestions to give guidance as to what they have on the “roadmap”.
We must be patient and not stress them in any way about the timeline for the dev of these items, otherwise they will regret the decision to keep us posted

RBM,
My apologies. You’re absolutely right. We weren’t told “soon”.
We were told “hopefully soon”. Clearly a bit of a misunderstanding on my part.
See the quote on 21st Jan by Joel of this thread:
Roon does not decode MQA yet, but it will (hopefully soon). However, we are not yet able to say exactly when.
I just wanted to list the features that were officially told to be on the roadmap.
I dont think they should be stressed. I just like following roon and whats coming , I meant no pressure
