Hi just a speculative thought. I understand the relatively recent Onkyo Icon A 50 is Roon ready. However, as there are 2 new releases due in May , the muse Y50 and 40 I was wondering if they are due to be considered as it could be they may be quite popular? If even Eversolo or Wiim can be.
It’s up to the manufacturer to submit them for certification. You have to ask Onkyo. And never buy a device based on promises of future features. They may want to submit it but eventually might not, or certification takes a long time, etc.
Hi many thanks for this. Im a Roon lifetime user, but am in the process adding another system , looking at (within my budget) other network players, including the Marantz M1. Really unsure about the Eversolo or Wiim amp ultra. But thanks I’ll look into contacting Onkyo (if I can find a contact! ).
Googling for Onkyo and Support readily finds their region-specific support contacts. Whether they can or want to give you an answer will be another matter, but at least you can tell them your wish. As I mentioned, whatever they say means nothing, anyway, as long as certification is not completed and you find the device on Roon Ready Partners - Compatible Audio Equipment & Manufacturers
