Says looking for Roon Core … never finds it
first time this has happened just lately

‘Find my Roon Core’ is only for Nucleus or ROCK Cores.

What is your Core machine? The Lumin is just a streamer/DAC.

Is that the device that the screen is asking if you want to ‘Use This Mac’?

If not, are you sure your Core is up and running on the MacBook?

You can’t find your MccBook Core by telling Roon to ‘Find my Core’. That option is only for ROCK or Nucleus Cores. It will spin forever trying to find the Core on your MacBook.
