· Changes to the parameter equalizer interrrupts the music even if all filters are *disabled*

I understand that changing the DSP configuration will result in a interruption due to buffering and other reasons, but I don’t understand why if everything is disabled it still needs to re-apply the configuration.
Imho, it should be saved and applied when the filter is enabled.
Note : I am talking about a situation where everything - all the filters are disabled, not a subset.
Thank you for the detailed explanation — that distinction (all DSP filters disabled vs. partially enabled) is clear
To help us investigate this more precisely, could you please clarify a couple of details:
Which device / endpoint is this happening on?
(Exact model name, e.g. DAC/streamer/OS used as the Roon output.)
Please provide an exact timestamp (date + local time) when you observe the interruption while changing the parametric EQ with all filters disabled.
With that information, we can correlate your report with diagnostics and determine whether this is expected behavior, a limitation of the current DSP pipeline, or something we should escalate further.
