Pathos Converto Mk2 anyone?

Hi,

I have a Pathos Converto Mk2 and only recently subscribed to Roon. I connected it directly via USB to my ROCK Core on a NUC10i5. It simply doesn’t recognise the DAC. I’ve e-mailed Pathos but haven’t yet heard anything from them. They provide Windows drivers for the USB but nothing more informative around Roon, Mac etc.

Anyone out there with a Pathos Converto Mk2 that successfully set up their DAC on Roon?

Thanks,
KB

Yeah, I had a Converto mkII for a little while and it worked fine with Roon. Can you get music to play through it at all? Have you tried different USB ports on the NUC?

Great! Thanks for letting me know. I tried all of the USB ports but Roon only shows the usual ports as available in the Audio settings. Did you have to do anything specifically to get it to work?

Hey. No, I did not have to do anything special. I just plugged it into the UBS cord coming from my NUC, turned it on and was able to select it. I later purchased a SOtM sMS-200Ultra (a Roon streamer) and it worked just as easily. I am not sure what you have tried so I am just gonna spitball here: Powering down the NUC and then powering it up again, checking to see if another DAC is recognized by Roon if you have access to one, check you have the latest Roon versions installed on the NUC and your remote, tried both USB inputs on the back of the Converto mkII , cycling through the input selection using the buttons on the front to make sure I have the USB input selected. I am going to try tagging @support so that they can also try and help you. If I think of anything I will let you know.

Hi @Kobus_Bekker,

If you try plugging the DAC into another PC running Windows or Mac (with Roon installed on it), does it show up properly there? The idea here is to take the NUC out of the equation and just leave it as the Core but use different audio drivers.
