Welcome to the forum! Just to confirm here, other Roon remotes work as expected and the issue is only impacting the iPhone 16? Or are you having trouble connecting with other devices as well? If you go to iOS Settings → Apps → Roon, is Local Network Access turned on? What screen do you see exactly, do you see searching for Roon server?
Thanks for letting us know! If you could bring your Roon Server online, we’ve enabled diagnostics, and we should receive a fresh report allowing for further analysis.
If you haven’t yet, I’d remove and reinstall the Roon mobile app on your iOS devices, and check if you’re able to reconnect afterward.
The latest diagnostics indicate that you might have separate Roon versions installed between your iOS devices and your RoonServer machine.
Please ensure that your iPhone/iPad has the latest available Roon update installed.
Logs show RoonServer establishing a handshake with RoonServer on 9/25, only disconnecting after playback stopped and the connection stopped receiving data.
We don’t see the iPad in logs. Do you have any mesh nodes or separate access points on this Wi-Fi network? What happens if you connect your laptop hosting RoonServer directly to the main router via ethernet?
From your admin, it looks like all your devices are running the latest versions of Roon (1554 for mobile devices, 1559 for your Roon Server)
Since you are using a Windows PC, I would verify that both Roon.exe and RAATServer.exe have been added as exceptions to your Windows firewall.
You can use these instructions to add the exceptions and the executables themselves would be located in your Database Location/Application folder path.
I would also add these exceptions to any Antivirus or other Firewall blocking applications you may have and ensure that you connected to your network via a Private network, not a Public one, see this guide for more information.
We wanted to reach out to ask if you had further questions before this thread closed.
Roon can be sensitive to stateful network security features, complex topology, and certain managed network software. We have a guide that outlines our general best practices for setting up your network for success with Roon:
