About 1 in 10 tracks fails to play with the message 'playback failed because $ couldn’t connect to HQPlayer when I ‘skip’ a track. It doesn’t matter if track is from Tidal or local storage I simply press play again and it plays normally.

I believe I inadvertently set my physical remote to send transport controls to HQPe instead of Roon which I know will ‘break’ Roon connection to HQPe.

I’ve disabled this and will monitor.
