Describe the issue

Hi, I am using Roon Nucleus one and KEF Lsx 50 wireless II (Roon ready). Roon Nucleus one is connected with a linear power supply unit and Ethernet cable. Speakers are connected to WiFi on the same network. I am encountering a problem where in when I play from from Roon app using Tidal files, the music plays for 8/10 seconds, then there is a crackling sound and the music stops but I can see the track timer still moving on the app but there is no music.

I have tried rebooting all connections multiple times but quite stumped why this is happening. All setting in Roon nucleus are default setting, I haven’t changed anything.

The speakers work fine with my TV and the Roon nucleus one works well with my Devialet (Roon tested - AirPlay). So seems to be a compatibility issue between Roon and Kef LSX 50 wireless II.

Any help is much appreciated.

Hi @Udit_Bhatia,

We don’t see a RoonServer instance associated with your account. Is your Nucleus One offline currently, or do you have a Roon account under a different email address than the one with which you’ve just posted?

Without visibility to our servers, we’re unable to request any logging that might illuminate the event you’ve described. Alternatively, you can follow the directions found here and send over a set of logs to our File Uploader. We’ll report back what we’ve found.

Please describe your WiFi network in more detail. We’ll need to know where the KEF speakers and Nucleus One are positioned relative to your router and any other hardwire in this wireless setup.

If you require additional time on your Roon trial to troubleshoot this issue, our accounts team can happily extend. Please let us know.

Hi Connor,

I would appreciate if you could extend trial till this issue is resolved.

Attaching a picture of my account and server.

The Roon is active right now.

Both Kef and nucleus one are close to the router. Nucleus one is connected with Ethernet while the speakers are on WiFi.

Kef is also connected by hdmi to an ultra short throw projector. The two speakers are connected with a lan interconnect speaker cable and to a kef subwoofer.

Nucleus one is connected to a linear power supply (pic attached).

Signal path attached too.

I removed the screenshot with your email address showing.
Best to edit that one and post it again without the email address.

Hey @Udit_Bhatia,

Unfortunately, we still do not see any traces of your Nucleus connecting to our servers. Could you please
use the directions found here and send over a set of logs to our File Uploader?

We’ll be on standby for your reply, thanks! :raised_hands:
