Describe the issue
I reported this issue some days ago. The support email links to an entirely different query submitted via the support page of the community forum. The current issue is on playback of a certain album (The Doors) playback stops mid-track and The Cure plays, about a minute later the doors come back. Its not frequent but its very odd.
Describe your network setup
Roon server and endpoints ALL connected via ethernet. 2 or 3 netgear switches.
If you head over to Roon Settings>Library>skipped files, do you see the issue tracks? After reviewing a recent diagnostic report from your ROon Server, there are traces pointing to track corruption, for example:
Warn: [prebuffer] in buffer threadSooloos.Audio.CorruptMediaException: Got CorruptFile while creating decoder (2)
Hi Benjamin,
I have just checked the skipped files page as you suggest. There are a handful of corrupt files from 5 years ago but nothing from the doors.
However i have noticed another issue with a Steve Winwood album (self titled) which plays approx 40 seconds and then stops and skips to the next track, plays 40 seconds etc.
I have reripped the Steve Winwood album and that has sorted it out. Regarding the doors i have re-ripped them too and we are testing now. I am not clear how a corrupt flac file could initiate playback of a completely different flac file with a different title and artist though?
Corruption can cause all sorts of odd issues. Let me know if it happens again and snap a screenshot. I’d also review your queue screen when this occurs and snap a screenshot if possible.
We wanted to check in before the team was away for the weekend. Has this issue persisted with any of the affected files after re-ripping and re-importing?
