What’s happening?

· I'm noticing slowness when using the Roon App or Roon ARC

Describe the issue

Playback often skips and interrupts when playing Tidal and local files, with message "Tidal media loading slowly..."

Describe your network setup

ISP Vodafone modem>TpLink Archer AX20 (does the DHCP)>Cisco Meraki>fiber optic>SoTM sNH-10G switch>SoTM sms200 UltraNeo>AQ Diamond USB cable>Hegel H390

This happens only when I use the Sotm streamer via the Sotm switch which is connected via fiber to a Cisco Meraki.
If I connect the Hegel H390 directly to the Cisco via ethernet cable, all good, no dropouts.
I would rather use the streamer because of SQ.

I have to add that even though this happened to me before on a few occasions, now I have changed my network setup a bit and happens all the time.

Tried to isolate the culprit and it seems to be the SoTM streamer, which operates at the lowest CPU frequency available - 133 Mhz. Raised the frequency to 512 and so far so good.

Based on your comment above, are you still running into issues? Great troubleshooting by the way - if you’ve traced the issue to the SoTM machine specifically, it may be worth getting in touch with the manufacturer for more precise direction, that is if you’re still running into issues.
