Description of Issue

Since updating today to Roon 2.0 build 1353 every few songs the playback stops somewhere in the middle of the song ! It is independant from the album, the song or any other thing. Happened never before. Restarted already the apps, the PC, the network, the light - etc. I’m using Roon app on a windows PC (normal up-to-date Windows 10 with 64mb Ram, Core i7) But as i said, beside the roon update, i haven’t change anything else. Neither software nor hardware.

Isn’t there any solution ? I cannot hear music anymore without constant interruption & stop of playing. Is it possible to downgrade to the last version of ROON? I have bought a lifetime licence and now it is impossible to use ROON ??

No answer, no support, no solution… is this how you treat your customers having a big problem after paying for a lifetime licence ?

Ok, now i understand. Posts from users who claim that something is not working and get no attention by Roon were uncommented removed.
But, what else can someone do if the support is not answering and one cannot hear music anymore ?
Are this now the new rules ?
Other companies which get a lot of money from people for their (yes, even buggy) software have a normal support which you can reach and which is talking to you. It is too easy to leave everything to the community. They were not all network administrators or ?

Your posts were removed because they were axe-grinding, which is contrary to the Community Guidelines.

While we understand your frustration, please abide by the guidelines. Your support request is in the queue, and a member of the (very small) team will respond once it reaches the head of the queue.

Is there no priority rule in your request system ? I read much faster answers by Roon staff to “should i buy a red or green cable for my audio gear”. This is of course exaggerated, but if the software Roon is not working after an update anymore and not only in a single case, i think this much more important or ?
Is there no fallback to an earlier release (at least for most of software nowadays this is a normal possibility) ? Think about that you’re e.g. planning some birthday party and have created a playlist via Roon and want to use the software on this special day and then it is broken ???

Several people are reporting issues with the current release, and it’s not possible to roll back. So, if you are planning a birthday party, I would find an alternative! Perhaps temporarily install the Roon application on a pc/mac/laptop and try that with your raspberry pi, or USB to a DAC.

Hi @dghphoto,
Thank you for your patience while we worked through the queue. After reading through the information you posted there are a few things you can try to resolve this issue. First does your Fritz!Box web GUI has any prioritization rules they can put in place for background applications as opposed to real-time applications. Something in your settings may be filtering your network. If that doesn’t resolve your issue please try rebooting your Roon Server twice.

Also a quick note about your CPU. It is a bit under specs which could cause issues when using DSP or combining zones.
