Describe the issue

After installing the last update, non connection with the Roon server (MacBook Pro M1).

Describe your network setup

Vodafone router - Chord Qtest Dac

macOS Sequoia (version 15), has tighter (and more obfuscated) network security settings than preceding MacOS versions.

Can you please navigate to macOS System Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network, and make sure Roon is allowed.

If it is already enabled, toggle it off and on again. Then reboot your Mac, and see if the same issue persists.

Hey @mromano,

Welcome to the community! We’re happy to have you here - but apolgoize in that it’s an issue that has prompted your recent post.

@Carl is correct in the above statement - it does look like you’re running the latest version of macOS Sequoia, so this could certainly be part of the issue.

In addition to this, I’d also double-check your mac firewall. If you temporarily disable it, and reboot Roon, are you able to connect?

We’ll be on standby for your reply, thank you! :raised_hands:

Thank you. Roon is allowed and everything was working perfectly until I installed the Roon update. I disabled the firewall and rebooted Roon, no effect. I will install the last Sequoia update that just came out, reboot the Mac and let you know.

After installing the last Sequoia update and rebooting, Roon works fine. Many thanks for your assistance.

(This question is asked many times per week. Those posting it do not search for the shared solution. Would it be appropriate to have a sticky somewhere in which you merely point the user to this known solution rather than re-state it? Just sharing a thought.)
