Description of Issue

Updated a few days ago and it took longer than usual to update the data base but it worked \

Then I decided to do my regular 2 backups on my Mac [to a QNAP and to a USB drive] and it got stuck as you described but I decided to let it try to connect without clicking retry [as i was a bit fearful of the message it gives] and it did connect after a couple of hours in both cases and the backups were successful

Benjamin at support said that he would check my logs but this hasn’t happened yet

I’m now finding that my system is operating strangely in a couple of ways --slow scans, disconnection from core when I go from one mac desktop to another, etc

Forced scans used to begin immediately; now take a few seconds to begin; searching an artist or album also looks different, getting the circle saying something went wrong 2-3 times while it searches

I’m also finding that my library tracks as well as Qobuz tracks aren’t playing or are playing only half way to the end via Roon

The Qobuz tracks are playing on the output of my iMac, so I’m wondering whether the issue is between roon and my Meridian 818

I believe I have the option of outputting to the 818 via SLS rather than the ID 41, but I don’t see that any more in Roon

Everything was woking fine until today; I re-booted my nucleus + late yesterday which may have caused the issue

To sum up: Qobuz and my own library tracks playing OK on iMac and on Macbook Pro internal speakers but stop playing via USB into my Meridian 818 at about 2 minutes.

Issue resolved

700,000 tracks is roo many to manage with Nucleus. I believe the limit is 100,000
