Description of Issue

Hello Roon experts,

Streaming of TIDAL albums which have been added works but TIDAL does not display contents in Main menu TIDAL. Furthermore, when I want to select an Album recommendation from overview I receive "Unexpected error, try again later (unauthroiezed).

I have already tried to delete the cache in /var/roon and I also disconnected and reconnected to the TIDAL account. Furthermore the Metadata optimizer is paused.

Since Streaming of TIDAL albums works I have no clue about the cause of the error. Please advice.

This suggests that the Roon core is having difficulties access some of Roon cloud services.
I would suggest rebooting your network router and associated network devices.

Then reboot the Roon Core itself.

Switching DNS services to Google (8.8.8.8) or Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) may also help as these tend to be more performance than some ISP provided services.

Carl

Dear Carl,

thanks so much, whatever you did (I did nothing) it was the right thing.

The TIDAL overview shows up now and also the album recommendations and the Medataoptimizer Flag vanished.

As said I did nothing. I am running a local bind, would be complicated to make Roon resolve to an external dns. Also I have a dsl and a cable link and I switched the servers default routes.

However, now it works. The problem vanished in the same fashion as it appeared.

My next step would have been a new installation. Happy that this is not necessary.

Regards Kai

Hi @kkaaii,

Glad you’re up and running again, however, I also did nothing (I don’t work for Roon, just help out on the forum).

Thanks, problems disappearing by themselves are the best. Thanks again.
