PS audio bridge 2 lost

Nucleus + and PS audio bridge 2 connected to asus router via ethernet

Audio Devices (Specify what device you’re using and its connection type - USB/HDMI/etc.)

PS audio DIrectstream dac with Bridge 2

Description Of Issue

I cannot see the PS Audio in the audio devices tab.
I also have a Lumin U1 connected to the asus router, which is seen by roon.
The bridge,2: is operational because it works with the mcontrolHD application.
I have tried powering everything off, and assigning a fixed IP to the bridge 2, instead of dhcp.
One solution I have heard of is to uninstall and reinstall Roon.
How would I that ?
FYI, my library and Roon backups are on a HDD attached to my Nucleus +
Thank you for your feedback.

Can somebody at Roon @support please advise?

Hi @Philippe,

Just to confirm, the PS Audio is connected directly to the Asus router via Ethernet? No other networking devices / switches in play here?

Have you tried rebooting your networking gear?

Can you share a screenshot of Settings > Audio for us?

Thanks!

Yes to both questions.

Any news ?

Hello @Philippe, is the PS Audio a new device or has this been working before with Roon? Was there something that happened before the device stopped working? Also, is your firmware on the latest version?

Hi @nuwriy, yes I worked well, and then it showed up intermittently, and then it disappeared. I know bridge 2 still works because it works with mcontrolHD.
In the Roon settings, about, it says I have the latest version installed.
Same thing for bridge 2.

Hi @nuwriy, any news ?

@dylan any news ?

Update on my side: after completely powering off my system, Bridge 2 reappeared for a day. The day after it was gone. FYI, I power off the Nucleus + when not in use, same thing for the router, and I put the PS Audio in standby mode.
How can I avoid the disappearance of the bridge, @dylan ?

Apologies for the delay here due to the weekend, @Philippe!

Can you try refreshing RAATServer and let us know if that helps?

You can generate a new RAATServer instance on your device by following these instructions, but please be aware that this will reset your Roon Settings -> Audio Tab to factory settings and I would advise making a backup of any custom DSP settings you have:

  • Create a Backup of your current Roon Database
  • Stop RoonServer from running in Nucleus’s WebUI
  • Navigate to your Roon’s Database Location
  • Find the folder that says “RAATServer”
  • Rename the “RAATServer” folder to “RAATServer_old”
  • Restart the RoonServer in the WebUI to generate a new RAATServer

If you’re not seeing any change after this let us know and we’ll enable diagnostics on your account.

Thank you, I will try it when I have a chance.
