Qobuz Access Issues and Slow Connection to Roon Services in China (ref#PI5P9O)

Describe the issue

Since I purchased a lifetime membership of Roon, I have been using it for a while. However, since last December, China has blocked Qobuz. I've tried various methods to connect to Qobuz in an attempt to solve the issue, but now I find that even my connection speed to api.roonlabs.net is very slow. This has turned Roon into a local player for me. If I apply a proxy to api.roonlabs.net, it will prevent me from using Roon ARC. Other than using SD-WAN networking software like Tailscale or Zerotier, I haven't found a better solution. I'd like to know if Roon has a better solution for me or if they plan to add a dedicated proxy setting in the future to help users like me, who are affected by internet censorship, resolve similar issues? I never thought about bothering the Roon team, but I realize this might become an increasingly difficult problem to solve in the future. If I let you know sooner, perhaps you can provide a solution earlier. Regardless, thank you for making such a great music library management software

Hi @Ryan_Yu,
Thanks for taking the time to write in! Unfortunately, based on your status, and if no upstream services are reliable, you may need to try a different proxy service or VPN.

Roon however isn’t equipped to provide guidance on how to bypass state firewall restrictions, but users have gathered useful anecdotes in threads like this: Is Roon banned in China?

I hope this may help as it falls outside the scope of support.

Do you read my post about the technical question with keeping Roon Lab work and Roon ARC to work together?
I can only made one of them to work, but I don’t have anyway to keep both, so I would like to share with you with that and we do really need help QAQ
