Describe the issue

Last night 300 plus qobuz albums disappeared (again!) and a bunch of others ive never added have been added to my library. Im not a techy so dont ask me to jump thru a million hoops. This occurred shortly after updating the latest roon version. Getting tired of this.

It’s a Qobuz problem being fixed by them. Search this forum.

Hi @darcy_schreiner,

This issue originates with Qobuz and is unfortunately outside of Roon’s capacity to resolve. Their team is aware of the behavior and they have deployed a fix.

For affected Roon users, we recommend either restarting and re-logging into Qobuz or allowing up to 72 hours for Roon to complete its next scheduled sync with Qobuz.

We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Describe the issue

Due these ongoing library/qobuz issues, If I cancel my Qobuz subscription will my roon go back to working properly again?

If you go to Tidal and if you have Qobuz favorites, you will want to transfer them to Tidal with Soundiiz.

Without any streaming service you will lose features like the Discography tab, Daily Mixes, and similar stuff that depends on online content.

Thanks. I already have tidal account and have had it for a long time maybe 8 yrs or more. Ive also been a lifetime roon user since the early days of roon. I added Qobuz in the last year or so but mostly add albums from tidal, except when qobuz occasionally had something tidal didnt.
For many mnths qobuz roon had no problems and worked perfect. Then in Jan that first wave of qobuz/roon library issues started ie 300 qobuz albums gone from roon. After a week it fixed itself but now ive lost 300 again two days ago and started adding albums all on its own that i hadnt asked for.
Last night those disappeared but I was still missing albums plus 200 more, ie 500 total, and more unwanted albums appeared.
This has turned into a gong show. I feel id be better off getting rid of qobuz and stock with tidal which has worked flawlessly.
Id like to remain a qobuz customer but no longer willing to put up with this nonsense.
If dropping my subscription to qobuz would make things back to normal with roon then im willing to say goodbye to qobuz until they can fox this permamently. I mean tidal got it right why cant qobuz.

Cancelling Qobuz will eliminate any Qobuz issues. Nothing more. That is, as long as you have Tidal.

Thanks for that. I think ill give them a few more days to see if they fix it. But at this point all im getting from qobuz for 15$/mnth is a screwed up roon library.

Describe the issue

So ive signed in again to Qobuz, restarted my core and waited more than 72hrs and Qobuz still not working. Because I like to sort albums by date added, I have to wade thru piles of qobuz albums that qobuz has added and arent mine. Plus all my qobuz albums are still gone. How much longer must I endure this. Getting fed up with both qobuz AND roon!

Hey @darcy_schreiner,

Sorry to hear youre still having issues with Qobuz and Roon. When you log into your Qobuz account directly, and use the Qobuz app, do you see any issues?

Have you tried restoring your Roon database from a recent backup that predates this issue?

If not, then we’ll need to take a fresh look at your Roon Server logs, if you could please use the directions found here and send over a set of logs to our File Uploader?

Thank you!

Hi thanks. So ive never actually used qobuz directly and after sign up have never been back to their site. Just used through roon.
Just went to qobuz and signed in all is normal there and i see all my favourites.
Sorry im very computer illiterate and after terrible early experiences with roon help and 10’s of hours wasted trouble shooting your software im unwilling to again jump thru never ending tech hoops, such as checking logs, to try to fix problems. The pattern is always the same; roon techs asking me tech questions i dont understand and when i do answer they ask yet another. It never ends and the problem never is fixed.
Case in point. When i first bought into roon yrs ago i had trouble with crashes etc. after many many hrs of roon techs asking endless tech questions they finally took control of my cursor and looked thru my logs etc (i found that a bit unnerving seeing that happening on my screen). After weeks of this and no solution, i just by chance ran a cable to my router rather than wifi and instantly roon worked without hiccups for over a yr. At no point did a roon tech ask me if i was hardwired or using wifi. Weeks wasted.
So no more of that endless questioning and looking at logs to no end.
Qobuz works on their site just not in roon. You keep telling me its their problem but im having my doubts about that. Probably no coincidence that current issue started shortly after downloading yet another roon update.
The first time this qobuz issue happened late in jan it did fix itself after about 5 days or so but not this time AND this time qobuz keeps adding strange albums to my roon library and my 500 qobuz albums gone.
Ill give it a couple more days to correct itself again but after that ill just cancel my qobuz account and lose my qobuz albums as well as all the money ive spent with qobuz for nothing.
Im done with clunky roon community and endless trouble shooting questions. Ill just go back to cds and itunes until you guys can get your acts together. I cant believe how much time ive spent on fixing roon.
Extremely disappointing and frustrating and have stopped recommending room to my friends for now.
GET THIS QOBUZ ISSUE FIXED!

Also i was told by a roon community response not to restore an older backup because that would really mess the whole thing up even more.

In Jan when this occured the first time I did try restoring from backup but right away my qobuz albums started counting down one by one untill they were gone again

Hi @darcy_schreiner ,

Since you’re seeing the Qobuz albums on the Qobuz app, it sounds like we need to trigger a manual sync. Please navigate to Roon Settings → Services → Qobuz (edit) → Logout, then sign back in. Let us know if this corrects the issue!
