Qobuz Connect

Is there any possibility that RoPieee will support Qobuz Connect in the future?

Maybe try ROON system. This is incredibly important feature for Tidal, Qobuz or hires files. If you want try free one month with ROON LINK

At the moment, the Qobuz Connect feature is buggy. I get plenty of glitches at beginning of the next track on a Eversolo . No problems on a Wiim streamer.

I would also be interested to hear if this is being considered.

I use Plexamp in Ropieee for my own collection and as a Qobuz user for streaming, having the Connect feature would be the icing on the cake.

Thanks.

Yeah same here on Eversolo only. Fine on my Wiim and Marantz. Eversolo are looking into it going by the thread on their forum.

I would love to see Qobuz Connect on RoPieee. Harry (@spockfish) would have to contact Qobuz and see what they are willing to do. Qobuz Connect is not open source and may require a formal agreement.

For Qobuz Connect on Raspberry Pi, the only one currently available that I’m aware of is Volumio with a Premium subscription (they also licensed Tidal Connect which is proprietary). In general, streaming services do not seem to make their “Connect” function freely open to 3rd party developers (it may be a restriction by the record labels). Spotify Connect only became available on RPi because developers reverse engineered it and made it open source.

Yeah, this is the story. I’m willing to integrate any kind of software, but if it comes with too many strings attached…

the qobuz web player runs in a chromium browser on a pi, and the web player is a connect endpoint … it needs a desktop environment and audio gets resampled to 48 kHz by pipewire/whatever … so it’s very basic and not headless friendly in its current form, but it’s a start

That’s interesting it works as a connect endpoint from a browser.
