Seemingly, a lot of versions of Queen albums have been removed from streaming services, and replaced with newer uploads under a different version name. As it happens all the time with lots of artists, unfortunately. I noticed this with versions of Queen albums named as “Remastered 2011”, some deluxe versions, and alike.

In my case, roon´s playlist improver helped in quite a number of cases, finding most of the newer versions automatically.

Unfortunately, for some albums like “The Miracle” and “Queen I (2024 remix)” this was not the case.

Hi @jayavel_krishna,

Roon is sometimes a downstream casualty of music industry reorganization. Streaming service partners often rotate their catalogs as record labels and distributors renegotiate deals and partnerships for particular content. The underlying objects exposed via Qobuz/Tidal/KKBOX APIs become unavailable, replaced with entirely new objects in the streaming service database.

Certain content is also georestricted due to distribution agreements and might not be exposed to the Qobuz/Tidal/KKBOX API, depending on your geographic region.

You can use Playlist Improver to automatically locate the highest-quality alternative for the same track, if it is available via another streaming service.

Hi @jayavel_krishna,

Just checking in on this. We wanted to follow up on the streaming catalog changes we mentioned, since Qobuz, Tidal, and KKBOX can rotate or replace underlying track objects, and some content may also be georestricted in your region.

Have you had a chance to try Playlist Improver to find the closest high-quality alternative, or check whether the missing tracks are available from another service? Let us know what you’re seeing and we can take another look.
