Question about Dac Pro-Ject rs2

Rock installed on nuc 10i7fnh
Nuc and Streamer connector with ethernet
Everything working correctly without incidents for 6 months. 550 CDs recorded in internal storage.
Qobuz service activated.

The reason for this email is to change my Streamer that was not Roon Tested or Roon Ready. I’m very happy with the Roon app I acquired the lifetime license some time ago, and not so happy with the old Streamer… it was time to change it! After much reading here in the forum I decided to take my amplifier and speakers to the music store and after trying several equipment, the one I liked the most and fit my budget was a Dac Project RS2, and Streamer s2 ultra. The Dac Project RS2 according to the store, what it says on its box and the manufacturer on its website, is Roon Tested and the Streamer is Roon Ready. Everything is going well but I ask them why the Dac Project RS2 does not recognize Roon comor Tested. Pro-Ject has several Roon Tested products that only appear in the configuration, but the RS2 does not. It generates doubts in its configuration.
Thank you and apologies for the translation

HI @CarGT,

Thank you for your patience in awaiting a response.

I have researched this issue and it appears there’s a mixup on which pieces of hardware are Roon Tested/Roon Ready. The DAC Box RS2 is neither but the Pre Box RS2 Digital is Roon tested. This is likely the reason for the problems and confusion. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Regards,
Wes

Hi Wes, thanks for your response.
As I was afraid of something like this and having read in this forum that more than one manufacturer says what it is not.
I have already returned the Dac Box and Streamer Box and replaced it with a Rose 150b, which they gave me to try 2 weeks ago and it seems to me that this is how it will remain. No more problems.

Thanks again
Regards
