Raspberry Pi DAC HAT's

I’m working on a multiroom network DAC with altogether 8 Pi5’s… About to order some DAC’s for those - anyone having recommendations?

I’ve had great success with hifiberry’s DACs, the DAC2 Pro and DAC+. I don’t think you can go wrong with those. Hifiberry has been around forever always making great HATs

DACs or DAC amps?

I always found IQaudIO (now Raspberry Pi) to be reliable and perform well.

DACs. I am so far planning to have a separate set of DACs and just separate set of amps. This would help me in my next step. The house has a set of passive ceiling speakers and all are wired to a central location, where I have a 19" rack able to house all

I’ll second Hifiberry.

I have their DACs, digital output HATs and AMP HATs - all have functioned perfectly from day 1… and day 1 is up to eight years ago for some of the devices!

Oh, and ROPIEEE is a great piece of software to run on your Pi/HAT devices - to get the signal out into whatever is next in the chain. Also reliable, feature rich and well supported.
