Description of Issue
Over the weekend started to receive the Too many failures. Stopping playback. error. When I received this before, rebooting the Roon core usually fixed the issue. Unfortunately this is no longer fixing the issue. Also did a hard restart on the router and modem, but neither have fixed the issue. When I also try to connect via my iPhone using Roon Arc, it states that the core was last seen 3 days ago.
Please let me know if any specific screenshots or additional information is needed.
First off, welcome to the community! We’re happy to have you here, and apologize for the long delay in getting to your thread. Wait times are a bit longer than expected at the moment, so I very much appreciate your patience so far.
A few follow up questions for you:
Does this issue occur when you try to play audio from the system output of your PC, or other remote devices?
Does this issue occur on other streaming services, or, is only Roon affected at the moment?
Do you notice any pattern in file resolution when the stoppage occurs? Please test out playing different tracks with different resolutions and let me know the outcome.
I’d also like to refresh your RAATServer database as a next step:
You can generate a new RAATServer instance on your device by following these instructions, but please be aware that this will reset your Roon Settings → Audio Tab to factory settings and I would advise making a backup of any custom DSP settings you have:
