As mentioned before, if you pull the cable between your endpoint and your switch, do you hear a sound improvement before the it stops playing before it stops when the app buffer is empty?
If so do think electronic gremlins affected the sound are also buffered by the application or the networks layer underneath?

I have an Asus RT-AC68U 4 port router.If I get a 5 port unmanaged switch, will I be able to use both for ethernet connections?
