Redundant Roon READY devices after reinstalling Sonore app (ref#HTTFQP)

· Why is Roon showing redundant Roon READY devices under the audio settings?
Due to some issues, I had to uninstall and reinstall the Roon Ready app on the Sonore opticalRendu Deluxe. However, every time the Sonore opticalRendu Deluxe is detected as a new Roon READY device, the old device version (not working) cannot be removed. Is it possible to remove the old device versions, as they are the same device? Roon Remote MacBook PRO M1 Max - Roon Version 2.66 (build 1658)

Thanks for reaching out. Can you try clearing your endpoint cache? You can do so using the following steps:

• Create a fresh backup
• Stop Roon (or RoonServer)
• Find and open your Roon or RoonServer folder
• Navigate to /Roon/Database/Registry/Core/
• Delete all the endpoint_ files in this directory.
• Restart Roon
• Please let us know if this helps

Note: Deleting these files will delete your audio device information.

If this doesn’t help, please restore the backup you made before trying these steps.

I restarted my system (K50 and the Mac), and after that, the redundant endoits are gone.

Hello @Andreas_Hahn,

That is excellent news! Sometimes a full system reboot is all it takes to force the Core to flush out those stale device identifiers and refresh the audio settings.
