Description of Issue

Recently both Roon and Roon ARC seem to ramdomly lose connection to the Roon core about once a week. I most of the time find out whilst being on the road when starting ARC with the message ‘roon core last seen xx hours ago’ in the Roon ARC app on my Samsung S22ultra. Only a restart of my Windows server fixes the issue.
My network is super stable, Roon functions flawlessly, but since a few weeks I lose connection about once a week. When it happens, I cannot connect to my core (both using Roon and/or ARC on my mobile phone, tablet and laptop).

Can you please help? This is super frustrating. I expect my server being fast enough, my experience is smooth when it works.

Thanks in advance for your time.

Nobody has any idea?

Hey @Ramplord,

Ben here with the support team, my apologies for the delay in following up! Thanks for your patience while we work through each thread.

If possible, could you please take note of the specific date and time, as well as name of the track you’re playing when this issue pops up next?

With that, are you able to test out hardwiring your core device directly to your router?

Hi Benjamin,

Thanks for getting back at me. Will do, I’ll report back.
As stated in the overview of my gear, my roon core is hardwired via cat 7 cable to the router. I use no wifi on my server as it sits next to my router.

Best regards,
Sebastiaan
