You need to quit the Roon Server like here:
Hi and THX, but that was the wrong way. Had to stop a second roon-process in taskmanager, now the installation is running…
If this is still happening, search for
hdashm6MkEXT.dll
Right click on it and select properties and check the publisher
same prob after reinstall roon, wondering which dll is missing…
I have no idea what’s going on but I can’t find the DLL file nor any part of the path on Google, which is unusual. Neither ConnectedPlates nor InpbtAudvt nor hdashm6MkEXT.dll
If I had to guess, the only software that randomly deletes files is security software. If it was my machine I would set up an audit that triggers when the file gets deleted. Then the process that did the deletion would be recorded in the Event Viewer.
same her, checked my autostart without any result
thank god, anything is running, only this message ist still popping up…
On this pc, I´m nearly only rooning and streaming, using vlcmediaplayer, MusicBrainz, songkong and mp3tag…
I added a suggestion to the previous post after you replied
Beginner’s mistake. I deleted the dll and, before I noticed the missing, emptied the trash…
Aha. Why did you delete it???
I don´t know, there was a message and spontanious I clicked on OK…
Something popping up a message asking about randomly deleting files is most likely security software as well. Nothing else really does this on a PC.
If it was security software, it may have moved it to Quarantine instead of outright deleting it. This should be noted in the security software’s log files somewhere.
don´t think to have any kind of…
Windows Defender is enabled by default. But no idea, it’s even more concerning if other software were to do this
Had to reinstall Windows, now it´s running…
