FWIW, this is still hanging (Connecting to… until giving up) while trying to remote play Spotify (from both desktop and iOS client); happy to share any info that might help on this

Update seems to have made all services stop working. I can’t find the device as a upnp output or airplay or plexamp. Configuration is the same as before, nothing was changed. I have tried rebooting the device also.

Log identifier: 48940a4fdfb30435

That is a different issue, then. The original issue had nothing to do with not being able to connect. The only thing (and important one  ) that did not work is actually play content.

Can you please send me feedback?

Thanks

Your feedback shows nothing: just a reboot and then feedback without actually playing.
And please, when reporting an issue, disable all services except the one that is causing issues. And send me feedback without rebooting.

Thanks

Apologies for the inconvenience but that’s the issue I was facing. I couldn’t play anything because the device wasn’t showing up on any of the services that I use (UPnP, Airplay and Plexamp) so I couldn’t connect to it and play something on it.

I disabled Airplay and clicked on configure, then enabled it again (I guess it didn’t have to be Airplay specifically, I could’ve enabled/disabled either of the services just to make ropieee re-save configuration). Now it’s showing up on all services and I was able to successfully play on each of them (UPnP via foobar2000 on my desktop, plexamp from my iphone, and airplay from my iphone).

Logs after doing the above and successfully playing music: bb632bb080ada43d

Harry @spockfish , I can’t tell you how pleased I am to be using the new “update” button on the Devices tab for those of us that have multiple RoPieee devices. Thank you again for this lovely feature!

Is there a technical reason not to allow the update button for the same device that one is using to access the web gui?

@Nathan_Wilkes Im speculating, but I imagine it’s because there is already a separate button at the top of the page to do that, and from a user perspective it might be unexpected if the device you were using rebooted when you meant to do a remote update and were just going down the list.

From a technical perspective in the backend what you are asking already exists, Ropieee API - trigger update - #2 by James_Fitzell

Yeah, this makes sense.

For many years I have been using a conslidated web view to take various actions on multiple RoPieee devices as well as capture basic performance data (memory, temperature, and so forth) using RRDtool - rrdtool. But, I like a simple solution that all RoPieee users can use natively so to speak.

What @James_Fitzell said

But on this topic: would it make sense to add a button ‘UPDATE ALL’ or something like that?

Yes, this would be a nice addition. I’d use it every time. Thanks @James_Fitzell and @spockfish.

Hello,

A new member here, therefore a short introduction first:
Name: Plamen Tenev
Location: Germany
Streamer: Ustars C19 (Ropieee 2025.10.2)
DAC: LAiV µDAC+ µDDC

And here is my first question:
So far I used Ropieee 2025.10 and just flashed to 2025.10.2. Everything works except the Ustars CM4 led now is constantly flashing blue/purple. On the previous version both leds were solid blue.
Please advise.

Thanks.

Hi, just tested on my UStar C19 and all two LEDs are solid blue
Could you please precise which of the two LEDs is purple/blue?

Hi Philippe,

The right one.

Thanks.

the machine indicator light (left one) turns blue, and the CM4 indicator (right one) light Red, blue, and purple flash alternately until it turns solid blue and the machine completes startup
If yours is still flashing purple/blue, it would mean the boot process has not completed and the machine is stuck somewhere.

In this case, I’d suggest reflashing the SD card with the latest Ropieee Image which should correct the problem

Hi Philippe,

No, I don’t have a display. Only connecting vie the web interface Ropieee.local. All looks good there. And the device also plays on all services fine. All settings are in place.
Just this right LED pulses blue/purple.

I used Balena Etcher to flash a new SD card with Ropieee 2025.10.2. image on a Mac. Then inserted the card and powered up. All went OK except the LED pulsing. This is the state entire day already.

What should I try?

Long press on the front button is normally changing the output mode for non-USB outputs, and flashes until you have confirmed your choice with a new long press on this button.

Hi again,

Okay, I will try reflashing the card again and post the result then.

Thank you very much!

Hi Philippe,

Reflashing the SD card brings no change - the right LED still pulses blue/purple.

Which Ropieee version do you have on your UIstars C19 currently?

Thanks.

Guys, why do you think that this behavior is wrong? A running RoPieee has a pulsating LED.

This is from the documentation:

During the installation process the unit will reboot a few times. It will also show a fast blinking green LED.

After 15 minutes or so the installation process will finish. This can be determined by looking at the green LED: it should have switched from fast blinking to a steady ‘heartbeat’ at once per second (½ Hz).
