Remote will not Connect to Roon Core after Roon Update

Others seem to have had this problem in different forms. My apologies if I am being very simplistic here.

The latest update of Roon produced the ”Waiting for your Roon Server” screen - but this never moves on to the buffering icon and then connection. Checking the immediate requests from Roon: my PC (Android) is connected; my other device (an EVO 432 Master - which is a Roon Core) is connected; Roon is apparently running on this other device; and this other device is configured to accept remote connections.

I have turned off all my equipment, including my router, and turned it back on. That doesn’t work. I have tried all the Firewall stuff recommended by Roon - and that seems to be OK, i.e. not part of the problem.

There is a suggestion from Roon that I try reinstalling the “latest version” of Roon. This requires that I first delete my existing version of Roon. This panics me a bit - particularly if I lose the 2000+ library of albums I have built up over time. Many of these are just links not fully paid up downloads.

My questions are: will deleting my existing Roon and reinstalling a new version likely work and re-establish a connection with the Core (having used my log in etc); in doing this is there a danger of losing my library of linked albums; or is there some other trick I can employ to re-establish contact between my remote and my Roon Core.

To me it seems as if something simple happened with the update - and it ought to be a simple fix. But I am probably being optimistic!

I should also explain that I am a senior and computing of any sort is not my strong point - so if anyone has any suggestions it would really help if they could be outlined in layman’s terms as far as possible.

Thanks, and any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I tried to reply earlier to this - but not certain if my reply was sent.

Thanks to Suedkiez - your diagnosis is correct. Issue is with Evo 432 not Roon. Getting it sorted out!

Roon support no longer needed.
