Remotes unable to connect to Roon server on Mac OS 13.6.3 (ref#DE80K1)

What’s happening?

I'm having trouble connecting to Roon

What type of connection issue?

*None* of my remotes can connect

Roon server running - Version 1.0 (build 259) production

Mac OS 13.6.3 (22G436)

None of my remotes connect to the server. I can see the server on the network. They are all on the same network.

This looks like RoonOS version (Nucleus or ROCK) not Roon Server. Maybe you need to click on “Choose another server” on your remotes? You should also follow the troubleshooting guide and see if you can fix it. If not, please report what actions you have already performed.

If, as you say, all remotes are on the same network as the server, it would appear to be a firewall issue:

See the article below for information on the required firewall exceptions:

I’m a little confused regarding your Roon Server.

You state:

This appears to be the version of Roon OS (as installed on a Nucleus or a NUC - by the ROCK installer). But you also say, in the title and the line quoted below that the server is runnin on Mac OS 13.6.3.

Are you running a ROCK install in a virtual machine on your Mac? if that is so then this is not a supported configuration.

I ended up reinstalling Roon on the client, and it worked.
