Improve new function 'remove duplicate files' deletes the songs, but after one second they are back again. is working very buggy. i have a playlst with 1000songs, now it has 1795, most duplicates of duplicates. is happening in al my plasylist when i want to remove a song, it gets back. I've tried it in 2 computers same result.
Hi @rossizantiago,
Thanks for reaching out to us about this issue. Are all of the playlists you’ve tried the improver on from Tidal? I activated diagnostics for your account. I’m seeing an error when the delete message is beign sent to Tidal

Could you try logging out of tidal in Roon and then signing back in again? The last line I showed from your logs has a status of 412. This means that Tidal is denying you access.
Hi Daniel, thanks for the quick response. I’ve done that, logout, close Roon, log in again but still bringing me back duplicate files and can’t remove songs. Let me know what else to try.
Yes i only have Tidal connected, no local files neither
Thanks for following up! We have a ticket in with our team for further investigation, I hope to have more information and updates to share soon.
In the meantime, the best workaround for now would be to make a local copy of the playlist, and then perform the playlist improver updates - it should update properly for you.
We have enabled a special diagnostic mode for your account to try to gather more information surrounding the issue. Can you please restart the Roon Server app twice (quit from taskbar and reopen twice) so that it can pick up this diagnostic mode, perform the actions to trigger the issue again, and provide screenshots of the behavior for before/after?
We belive the additional diagnostic report will help our development team better identify the underlying cause. We should have more information to share next week.
Our team has yet to reproduce this issue in house, unfortunately. Progress is slow, but our team still has an investigation ticket in. Thanks fo your patience!
Have you tested out changing your Windows DNS server at all yet? We have seen users have a better experience in the past if they change their Router’s DNS servers from the ISP provided ones to Cloudflare DNS, Quad9 or Google DNS. Can you please give this a try and let me know if it helps?
Hi there, yes I’ve tried that and everything you said but still the same. It’s very frustrating it’s been a month now, whenever I upgrade songs quality, songs get duplicated.
Hi @rossizantiago,
Thanks for trying the DNS switch. Our developers are still working on the issue so unfortunately we don’t have more to share at this time. I’m sorry for how frustrating this must be but since we haven’t been able to reproduce the issue it is slowing down our analysis of the problem.
