Description of Issue

Starting Roon app on either an iMac, iPad or iPhone (all with the latest version of app installed) triggers to ask for login to Roon. After entering the correct login details and choosing the user profile on Safari, a prompt to ask if I allow the page to open Roon. After confirming ‘allow’, the app shows ‘logging in’ for a while and then nothing happens.
I can still go to the ROCK interface by entering the IP address of the NUC.
Can still go to the folders on the SSD of the NUC.

Hello Franky,
I had the same thing this morning.
After a power cut last night, I had to restart my server.
As a result, my Windows client asked me to log in.
Which I did, and like you, nothing happens after that.
I repeated the procedure 3 or 4 times without success.
Fortunately, I also have a Mac OS client and the procedure worked.
It’s strange and not normal. Good luck, dp.

The problem started for a few days only and judging by the posts describing a similar problem, seems not an isolated incidence.
Maybe I will try borrowing a Windows PC from a friend to see if I will be lucky.

I found that I needed to do a second login from another Roon Remote device. That cleared this glitch for me.

ah ? Same as me.

Hi @Franky_Ng,

Ben with support here, are you still running into login issues?

If so, please recreate the issue and share the specific date, time, and which device you have the issue on. From there, we’ll be able to take a closer look.

Thanks!

Hi Benjamen,

I still have the issue.
Just recreated the problem with my MBP 14 M1Pro and iPad Air 4 at 18:24 and 18:25 (Hong Kong TIme) on 3 Sep.
I tried many times with different devices and all encountered the same problem.

Hi @Franky_Ng,

Unfortunately, we’re not able to pull a fresh diagnostic report from your core device, could you please
use the directions found here and send over a set of logs to our File Uploader?

Thanks!

File uploaded.

Hey @Franky_Ng,

Thanks for sending those over! We’re seeing some interesting errors in relation to your local network.

As a next step, can you please bypass all network gear and hardwire your Nuc directly to your primary router? Let me know if you run into the same issue after testing this temporarily.

Thanks!

Hi @benjamin,

Connected my Roon core directly to the router.
Same problem persisted.
Another set of log files uploaded.
Thank you!

Thanks for pointing out the issue may lie in my network setup.
I finally was able to pass the login screen and was able to launch Roon.
What I did was to disable the ‘static IP’ on my Roon core ROCK system, then assigning the same static IP again using the Orbi web interface.
Will further test in these few days.
