Describe the issue

I would like the Roon app to wake up Nucleus One (eg with a Wake on LAN) following a powerdown. We suffer from powercuts where we live, and it is awkward for me to get to the Nucleus One as it’s tucked away in an equipment rack, and it’s very difficult to reach behind the unit to the power button to restart it. The way the Lumin streamer (a very similar ‘black box’ use case) implements power management is a great example of how it should work as I don’t need to get to the box at all following a powerdown. I am not concerned with other power management enhancements such as going from Standby to Off, and back on when called for, but the restart ofter a powerdown would be so helpful as an ease of use enhancement, and presumably not too difficult to implement.

Describe your network setup

TPLink Deco mesh wifi network. Nucleus One is Ethernet connected to primary router with broadband connection.

Hello @John_Gasson.

Thank you for reaching Roon support and welcome to our community.

Thanks for the feedback here. Since this is not a current feature of Roon, I would recommend voting for it by using the Vote button at the top of think topic.

Our product team and developers keep a close eye on that category, so that’s definitely the best place to propose a change like this and get feedback from the Community.

@John_Gasson a feature request from May 2015, good luck.

I’m not sure about the Nucleus One (I don’t have one), but with a standard NUC, there’s an option in the BIOS to automatically boot up after a power failure. It might be worth looking if that option is available.
