Could you reset my Valence taste profile? I'd like it to rebuild from scratch based on my local library and my own listening going forward, rather than retaining any of the skewed data. I've since set up separate profiles for my kids to prevent this from happening again.
Whilst waiting for Roon support to get back to … I suggest going into Roon’s [play] history and the select / delete all the listings for the tracks not of your liking.
If that’s a big “faff” it is possible to “select all” and then purge.
Unfortunately, there isn’t a way for us to reset a Valence taste profile from our end; there’s no internal switch to wipe it and rebuild from scratch. The good news is that Valence weights recent listening heavily, so as you and your family listen on your now-separate profiles, your own profile will steadily re-center on your tastes over time.
To speed that along, Carl’s suggestion is the right approach: head into your play history and remove the tracks that don’t reflect your listening. You can select individual entries or, if there’s a large block from the same stretch, select multiple at once and delete them. Trimming that skewed history is the most effective way to nudge your recommendations back on track.
