When viewing Yumi Matsutoya’s discography, I noticed a mix of Japanese and English displays.
When the language is set exclusively to English, the album artist names appear inconsistently as both “Yumi Matsutoya” and “Yuming.”
However, both entries link to the same “Yuming” artist page.
Since the “Yuming” designation seems to be an exception, I would like the name to be standardized to “Yumi Matsutoya.”
When the language is set exclusively to Japanese, everything is displayed in Japanese.

I found the Japanese name for Karajan on MusicBrainz—“ヘルベルト・ヴォン・カラヤン” (Herbert von Karajan)—which matches the one used in Roon, so I submitted a correction request. However, I noticed that the Japanese names for other artists on MusicBrainz sometimes differed from those in Roon.
Does Roon not use MusicBrainz for artist names in Japanese?
Since AllMusic doesn’t provide Japanese names, does Roon register them independently?
Will a correction request submitted to MusicBrainz not be reflected in Roon?

In the attached image, "Grady Tate" has been translated into Japanese as "グレーディ・タテ", but the correct transliteration is "グラディ・テイト". The Japanese Wikipedia description is displayed in the center of the image.
Roon users can submit suggestions to Valence for improving artist images, but is it not possible to do the same for artist names?

Thank you for the time you are putting into this. The screenshots and the specific corrections are what make a report like this usable rather than just a complaint.
Requests of this kind are handled by our localization team rather than by Technical Support, which is why this thread sits in Roon Software Discussion > Translations. They read that category and work through it alongside everything else on their plate, so we cannot give you a date, and we would rather say that plainly than imply one.
I have moved your recent post here so that everything about Japanese naming stays in one place. Please keep adding to this thread rather than starting new topics. One thread carrying all your examples is harder to overlook than several short ones.
