Seems the folks at Allo are attempting a restart,
Following. This could be interesting. I’m mainly interested in seeing what new products they will create.
I thought Allo was French with fab in India. I don’t see anything here other than an Indian website selling Allo designed boards. I hope I’m wrong. I hope they have something new but showing pictures of products using CM3 boards is worrisome.
Although, I do need to sell my usbridge sig and digione sig.
I’ve ordered a DigiOne from the new website that sells Allo parts. I’ll let you all know how it works out.
Received my DigiOne six or seven days after ordering it. Took me about three minutes to replace the HiFiBerry HAT that I was using. Hooked the Shanti power supply up in a few minutes, and I’m now listening to music.
EDIT: All of the parts I needed to do the replacement and hook the Shanti up came in the package.
Thanks, Rabas!
P.S. I would really like to see Rabas come up with a case for the Pi/DigiOne that holds the official RPi display.
If you are planning to sell your allo usbridge sig i’m interested to buy, if you can ship it?
Allo was always Indian designed and also manufactured. There were some team members across the globe (e.g. Canada). Covid hit them hard especially scarcity of RPI.
Now they are back. Let’s support them to come back with strength. Their DigiOne offerings are really something!
-Always loved my Allo USBridge and USBridge Signature until the company ceased to update drivers as newer Linux kernels were released causing pops and distortion through the USB ports. The Volumio OS people have apparently fixed this for their customers according to posts on a user forum last Spring: Allo USBridge Signature AX88179 Driver - #41 by Darmur - Help and Support - Volumio Community
And Ropieee is on it, too: BETA Release 2024.10
However, I would prefer to stick with DietPi. Will the new management team get a solution into the Linux development community some time soon?
