This a rather small release, but I wanted stuff out anyway.
Most exiciting part (and here’s where I need some proper testing as well ) is the return to a recent kernel on the Usbridge.
Remember: I’ve created a variant that uses an older kernel because 1) The Usbridge uses a ethernet chipset that is not properly supported in the kernel 2) Allo is out of business and is not able to update the driver.
But, the Usbridge is still a very beloved device (I own one myself) and I did another attempt to bring the driver to the latest kernel (that we’re using on the Pi’s). I’ve been listening to it all weekend and the results are very good from my experience. Would love to hear from some beta testers about this specifically.
Anyways, here’s the complete changelog:
NEW: latest kernel available for Allo Usbridge
IMPROVEMENT: update HQPlayer NAA component
IMPROVEMENT: update Linux kernel
IMPROVEMENT: add donation option ‘Buy Me a Coffee’
Looking very much forward to see this out of beta because I hope the NAA update will address my crackling issues with my Cyan 2 DAC. I keep fingers crossed.
