Hi
Mind giving me some advice, please?
It seems, that Roon “Version 2.50 (build 1528) production” has majorly slowed down my file sync speed to my NUC (NUC 13 Pro, Intel Core i7 1360P, 64GB Ram, Samsung 980 PRO NVMe M.2 SSD, music files on a separate, USB3-attached Samsung SSD).
I edit and tag my flac files on a Windows computer, then fire up “GoodSync”. This syncing software connects via SMB over a Gigabit LAN to Roon Rock.
As the first step, GoodSync compares local and remote folders/files. This analyzing process takes about 30" to 45" for the local files and 2 to 3 minutes for the remote “Roon files” via LAN/SMB.
After that, “GoodSync” knows, what files are missing on the NUC and copies them over. Copy speeds vary between 10 and 30MB/s.
Now, after the update, this analyzing process takes about 45 to 60 minutes for the Roon files!
Since there were no hardware or software-changes in my setup other than the above mentioned Roon update, I am at a loss. Is that caused by the update?
What can I do, what might cause that slowdown?
I tried to reinstall Rock’s operating system to no avail.
Thanks
