Just another user here, and not using Volumio or their products, but …

You may want to take Volumio up on their offer…

From my trials with Volumio on RPi years ago, I remember there being a plugin to be installed to enable Roon bridge function.

Since Rivo is Roon ready, it should support RAAT via Ethernet out of the box.
Don‘t you see it under Settings/Audio in the Roon Ready section?
Maybe also go through the Rivo settings via app/browser.

On my cellphone & iPad as Roon Remote it automatically connects by Airplay.

In Signal Path written that bit-depth is being reduced before transmission to audio hardware.

I didn’t find anywhere instructions how to connect Roon core to the streamer other than by Airplay.

Your fix lies in your streamer not Roon. That device has according to the manual the following available plug ins. Noticed I bolded RoonBridge. You need to enable and activate that plug in on the Rivo. Afterwards, Roon will just see the Rivo under the Roon network section of Settings/Audio where you can then enable, name and finally select it as the endpoint.

Available Plugins

Youtube, Squeezelite, Radio Paradise, Podcasts, Pandora, Fusion DSP, Roon Bridge, Soundcloud, Mixcloud

Thanks Rugby
I’ll dig more about Rivo :+1:

They are Roon Ready according to Volumio website and Roon which means you don’t need the bridge as that’s for the software install of Volmio on Rasperry Pis to get Roon capability. The code for Roon Ready should be already built in as that’s what makes a device Roon Ready, Roon Bridge does not.

You may need to turn on Roon Ready feature on in the Volumio control app for the device. In Roon it should show up under Roon Ready section of Roons Audio settings. You have currently only enabled the Rivos airplay input in Roon. All inputs on a device show up in Roon you have to choose the one you want to use.

If it’s not showing up you likely have some network issues either the Roon core is on a different network subnet to the Rivo or something is blocking device discovery in Roon as it should just show up under Roon Ready devices in audio settings.

No it’s a Roon Ready device according to Roons Partners page and Volumios site on the devices. They should not need the Bridge as that does not make a device Roon Ready.

Wow CrystalGipsy…you are the savior:pray:t2::smiley:
Apparently I turned off the Roon Ready feature on in the Volumio control app.

Thank I appreciate it

Good that it‘s fixed, but why does it need 7 additional posts, as I had already clearly pointed to the solution in post No.2!
No one obviously read my post before posting themselves…
