Recently, in the last week, my ROON core began to disconnect every night/overnight. I have to turn off the NUC and then restart it. That fixes the situation until overnight, when the same thing happens. I have checked the ethernet connection to the router. This used to be very stable, so I’m not sure what changed. Any thoughts about what I could try?
Whatever was going on for about 4 days straight has somehow fixed itself. During those 4 or 5 days, I would open Roon in the morning and I could not connect to my core - it couldn’t find the core. After making sure I was on the correct wi-fi network, which i was, I would have to reboot the NUC and it would then show up when I opened Roon. Magically about the 5th day this problem seems to have resolved itself. Glad to send in the log files, but for now all seems good.
Are you maybe getting a short power cut you don’t know about ?
Do you see other appliances showing symptoms eg our Oven Clock resets to zero and flashes until adjusted.
You can set up in the BIOS to make the NUC reboot on power restore. We suffer from multiple power cuts daily and my NUC just restarts automagically. That said it may be better to know it is happening ?
The only snag is that the network startup is slower than the NUC so Roon fails to auto login to Tidal , a minor click to fix.
This might be what was going on. We had some severe weather during that period. I will change the BIOS. I have also plugged it into a UPS, so that should help as well. Thanks for your response.
