ROCK URL poweroff parameter removed in latest version?

Hello roon fans,

I am wondering that the URL parameters are not working anymore.
I used the

http://roon.rock/1/poweroff in a shortcut to turn my ROCK off.
This worked for nearly 3 years but with the latest version the parameters are gone and a white page appears in Safari. Former behavior was "power off succesful or something like that)

Are there any new methods to shut down ROCK without use of the usual web interface and shutdown by hand?

“roon.rock”?

is that host name still resolving for you?

i would think it would be “rock.local” or just “rock”

roon.rock in the web browser targets the correct ip…
in the past it was equal if the parameter poweroff was sent with url or ip… it worked in both ways

Works for me (on Early Access) with the correct hostname in the URL

Using Safari browser on (likely) MacOS Sequoia?

Exactly

aww… pardon me… I meant rock.local… sorry for this confusion.

I only get a white page when I run the command in the address bar… and I dont know why.

Try a different browser or computer/mobile.

mmmh… reinstalled rock - does not change anything related to the shutdown

tried Firefox on Mac OS and Windows - still not possible to shut down rock from browser.

When the issue still appears on Windows 11 with Firefox, I think this is not a problem related to MacOs Sequoia stuff.

But the web admin UI works with http://rock.local ?

The admin ui via ip and rock.local works great as always.
No signs of misconfiguration or unexpected behavior are visible

We’ve had some commands in the past that you could send via URL:

http://192.168.0.100/1/restartsoftware
http://192.168.0.100/1/stopsoftware
http://192.168.0.100/1/reboot
http://192.168.0.100/1/poweroff

All of that worked once. Now none of it works. Tested with Firefox and IE. Try it with your IP…

Probably because the ip address of your Roon Server is not 192.168.0.100 or 192.168.0.23 any more.

Try (assuming that your ROCK is still using the ROCK hostname):

http://rock/1/restartsoftware
http://rock/1/stopsoftware
http://rock/1/reboot
http://rock/1/poweroff

Your Rock hostname is set in Roon Settings (I do not use a ROCK based server so mine is different):

Nothing works for shutdown.

Nothing works. No matter whether it’s rock, rock.local or the IP address.

Yes. Last week it worked like charme and a few years before.

Normal admin ui is shown but shutdown serves a white page

Hi @Carsten_Lange,

Thank you for posting. Just ton confirm, you get a blank page without any presented status code (ie. 405 or similar) in both Firefox and Chrome-based browsers?

The team is syncing internally and will respond as soon as possible with a concrete answer.

Hello connor,
I just want confirm, that I only get a white blank page when I run the poweroff command.
There is no difference which browser and os is used. Tested on Mac OS sequoia (Safari and Firefox), iOs (Safari) and Windows 11 (Firefox and Edge)

Last week we got an update for Roon Rock 2.1 (build 271) Production.
I used the poweroff parameter in the earlier versions without any isssue.
