This is the only reference I have found to selection of testers. Not sure what the difference is between the alpha testers mentioned here and the beta testers mentioned in the latest mini release.

Does Roon need more beta testers?

We are planning for much shorter and smaller releases in the future. We have quite a few alpha testers right now, and occasionally pull new people in. Managing alpha testers is a job in itself, so we don’t like to grow this list much.
