· i[m having issues with Roon and MacOS 27 - I followed the troubleshooting guide, but I get a different net mask result, which I should open a technical support before proceeding
Tell us about your home network
· Eero Pro7, 2.5G switches throughout the house, not issues before the MacOS27 update
The guide assumes a network is /24, not /22. Your network isn’t misconfigured, fortunately, and we can likely resolve the issue here.
Based on your screenshot, it’s likely the case that this Mac has both an ethernet and a WiFi connection active simultaneously (or a VPN tunnel active).
First off, try restricting the machine to a single active network interface by disabling WiFi and any VPNs temporarily. Restart RoonServer and Roon.
If you don’t see device immediately appear in Settings → Audio, then we’ll need to finish the steps in the troubleshooting guide, but specific to your /22 network. Wherever the guide asks for the network address from the “Find Your Network Address” step, enter 10.0.4.0/22 (or whichever LAN IP is active). Do not use 10.0.6.0/24 or 10.0.4.0/24. Those values cover only part of your network, and exclude the block with your Mac.
Let us know if this helps!
More broadly, Eero networks have historically differed from most consumer home router setups in how they allocate IP addresses. We have a few recommendations here that you can review.
We released a hotfix to address the macOS 27 issue, and we’d like to confirm whether that resolved it on your end. If it is still happening even after updating Roon, please let us know and we can keep digging from there.
One thing it highlighted to me is how much I use Roon! I kept using Roon Arc to stream from my iPhone instead of using straight tidal or Apple Music … so glad this is fixed!! Thank you
Thank you for confirming. Good to hear the hotfix resolved it and that ARC is back in regular use. If anything comes up again, please start a new thread and we will take another look.
