Roon app 1.8 doesn't launch on Microsoft Surface Go 2

I have recently installed roon app 1.8 on Microsoft Surface Go 2 (Windows 10 pro 21H1) The app wont, start (no splash screen, nothing) I have tried with 64bit and 32 bit versions. Updated Intel video drivers also installed newest firmware and drivers from Microsoft surface go2 page.
Microsoft Surface Go 2, Intel Core m3-8100Y, 8GB RAM, 120 SSD, Microsoft Windows 10 Pro.

Hi @Vaidas_ST,

We’re sorry that you had trouble here. First you’ll want to ensure that the Microsoft Surface Go 2 uses Open GL, Roon’s GUI is built off of Open GL, but some Miscrosoft Surface models don’t support it

If Open GL is supported please follow these steps:

  • quit Roon
  • reboot the Windows machine
    • Turn off your Roon Core
    • Unplug your Core for a few minutes
    • Plug the Core back in
    • Turn on the Core
  • uninstall your graphics drivers
  • navigate to the manufacturer’s website for your Graphics Card (for example, a popular one is NVIDIA) and download the graphics drivers directly from there
  • install the graphics drivers
  • relaunch Roon and check your audio devices page.
