Based on the feedback from R&D, we have requested the diagnostic data from your device. Would you kindly run Roon on the Z Fold, reproduce the issue, and leave it open for a while?

Our development team reproduced this on a Galaxy Z Fold 8 and found the answer.

On that error screen, please tap the fullscreen link. That hides the status bar and the Samsung taskbar, which gives Roon the full height of the display. The app then works normally unfolded in landscape.

For context on why it happens: Roon’s tablet layout needs at least 700 dp of height. Your unfolded panel is 704 dp, but the status bar and taskbar take 88 dp of it, leaving the app 616 dp, which is 84 dp short. Going fullscreen returns that space. In portrait the app is narrow enough to use the phone layout instead, which is why you only see it in landscape.

We are keeping the 700 dp requirement as it is, since lowering it would leave the tablet layout too cramped for everyone else. Fullscreen gives you the whole display and the correct layout.
