Roon app font size too small on iPad (ref#LUOACQ)

I have low vision and can no longer use the app as the font size is way too small. I’m am using an 13in iPad with the iOS font size increased but it has no effect in the roon app. Additionally there are no font size settings in the app. Please can you advise what I should do?

Have you tried the font size setting ? Settings > Setup

This is Windows but it will be the same in iOS

Nope, this only exists on PC, not tablets or phones

However, text size can be adjusted here, within limits

I had been about to say the exact same thing but luckily looked it up on the iPad before I did

Yes i’ve changed those settings. My display looks like the pic below, but Roon iOS app doesn’t appear to support Dynamic Type.

The MacOS app does however have the Very Large option and with the OS accessibility tools could be a way forward and use that app instead.

As an aside, the Very Large text option is still quite small and it would be nice to see more accessibility options, like reading out the Overview, reduce screen clutter, etc.

I tried it and for me it did change the Roon font size, but not as much as other text. This is on an iPad 12.9 Pro with iPadOS 18

You’re more advanced that me, I haven’t gone to iOS18 yet, still on 17.7. there must be some changes between the two. Let me give it a try.

Wait a minute, the font becomes larger for a short time and then smaller again.

Edit: No only some font size slider positions have an effect, not all of them. But the font never grows as much in Roon as it does elsewhere

So it works a little bit but could do better

You’re right it does change the size, but even worse as you make the Dynamic Text bigger the text size in the app can actually get smaller depending on the size selected!!

True. It’s more aggravating that some of the capability seems to exist but doesn’t really work, compared to it not being there at all.

Thanks for reaching out to us about this. Unfortunately right now Roon doesn’t have accessibility options though we really should. Like the other users mentioned you can submit or vote on a feature request dealing with this in the Feature Suggestions section of community.
