Roon app freezes on iPhone after screen goes off (ref#0W1GYA)

Describe the issue

The app freezes on my iPhone so I have to close the app and reopen. This includes changing volume and viewing the queue for example. It seems to happen after the screen has gone off

Thanks for reaching out to us to ask about this issue. I need some more information in order to troubleshoot this for you.

  1. Is this happening with ARC or Roon remote?
  2. Does playback also stop when the app freezes?

It’s just roon if remote is me using the phone to select tracks etc. and just today music has been stopping but send to be a recent occurrence. Also I seem to get the lost control of device message though was when playing music on my Sonos devices.

Thanks for the additional information! As a next step can you please:

  1. Set up a direct ethernet connection from your Nucleus to your primary router
  2. Delete and reinstall the Roon mobile app over stable wifi

Hi Benjamin thanks for your help the nucleus is connected to the satellite via LAN but I have just reinstalled the roon app and it looks to be working ok now so hopefully sorted the issue, thanks for your help!

Great we’re glad your Roon server is working properly for you now! I’m going to mark this thread as solved but it will remain open for a couple of days in case the freezing issue returns.
