· After recent Roon update on my mac Mini, when opening the app on mac OS it shows a blank screen? The mouse pointer changes if you hover over the screen indicating that something is there. My Roon Nucleus is working and accessible from IOS (Iphone and Ipad) and Android Apps (Samsung Phone and TCL tablet) without issue. Roon was previously in Dark mode on the Mac Mini. Have restarted Mac Mini, re-installed Roon twice. Closed down Roon server and Roon in activity monitor and reset network access on/off. Tried starting Roon server first and then Roon app. Nothing works. Running latest Mac OS, no firewall or VPN running.

Thanks for the details. Several Mac users are now seeing the same blank window after updating to macOS Sequoia 15.8.2, and we are looking into it. Logs from the Roon app on your Mac will help us see what it is doing while the window stays blank.
Please open Roon once so the blank window appears, wait about a minute, then quit it. After that, can you please use the directions found here to zip the Logs folder from the Roon folder on your Mac (in Finder, click Go, hold the Option key, choose Library, then open the Roon folder), and send it over to our File Uploader? Please also let us know the exact macOS version (Apple menu > About This Mac). Once the logs have been uploaded, please let us know so that we can check the server for your files, thanks!
We have an update on the blank window. This turns out to be a bug in macOS itself, not in Roon: on macOS 15.8.2, apps that draw their window with OpenGL, like Roon, don’t get a surface to draw on, so the window stays blank. Several other apps are affected in exactly the same way, and it has been reported to Apple. The 15.8.2 build you’re on is a pre-release (beta) version, and Apple’s second release candidate (24H225) doesn’t fix it yet.
Unfortunately there’s nothing we can change in Roon to work around it. Until Apple fixes it, your options are:
Keep using Roon from your iPhone, iPad, Android device or another computer. Your Roon Server keeps running normally, and on the Mac you can leave the Roon app open in the background.
Leave the macOS beta program (System Settings > General > Software Update > Beta updates: Off) so you’re moved to Apple’s final release once it’s available. Going back to the current public version (15.8.1) right away requires reinstalling macOS, so please make a backup first.
Some users are running Roon on macOS 27 without this problem, so upgrading is also an option. Please check first that any other audio software you rely on supports it.
We’ll keep an eye on Apple’s updates and post here once a macOS build fixes it.
Hi, thanks for info. It seems that my mac was only checking for updates to OS15 due to Public Beta being on. Now downloading OS27 and hopefully will fix issue!
Thanks for the update on the macOS version check and the download of OS 27. Glad to hear you found the reason the Mac was only seeing OS 15 updates.
Please keep us posted once the install finishes and you have a chance to see whether the blank window is gone. If it is still not resolved, we can continue from there.
Now works fine. Problem related to Mac OS only updating public betas. In settings you can choose to turn public betas on or off but restricts to only the currently installed version. Mac OS27 is ok.
