Hello @Peter_Dawson

Thank you for reaching Roon support.

I have gone ahead and enabled diagnostics mode for your account and what this action will do is next time your Roon Server is active, a set of logs will automatically be generated and uploaded to our servers for analysis.

For some reason it is not reaching our servers, even after I tried re-enabling diagnostics on your account. I also ran a quick test and I was able to submit a similar report from my setup here, so something else is going on.

So we can move forward, I was hoping for now you could use the directions found here and send them to our Logs Uploader Service and let us know after, thanks!

Hi @vadim

Thanks for your email and ongoing support.

I’ve uploaded the Roon Logs and the RoonServer Logs.

Thanks and kind regards,

Peter

Hey @Peter_Dawson,

Thanks for sending those over! I can confirm you’re unfortunately experiencing a known outage with Roon and our upstream services. Our team is aware and actively working on a fix.

Since a few days have passed, if you reboot both Roon and Roon Server, do you still run into the same connection issues?

Thank you! :raising_hands:

Hi @benjamin,

I’m afraid that I’m away from home for a few days and so can’t do as you suggest. I’ll check next week.

Thanks and kind regards,

Peter

Hey @Peter_Dawson,

No problem at all! We’ve since seen a few reports that overall service has stabilized, so we’ll wait to hear back when you get a chance to reboot and attempt a connection.

Enjoy the weekend in the meantime! :folded_hands:

Hi @benjamin ,

I rebooted everything when I returned yesterday.

The 2014 Mac mini (my Roon server) was running very slowly, behaving as if it were under severe load. The cpu and memory loads were both very low, however, and on checking I found that Disk Utility was reporting some disk corruption. I seem to have fixed this by booting into Recovery Mode and running Disk Utility. Roon was updated from version 2.60 to 2.61 during this period (although my phone is still on 2.60) and everything now seems to have settled down (although I haven’t tested ARC yet as I don’t use it very much).

So, as of now, I believe that I’m back to normal and I’m happy to close this case.

Thanks for your support.

Kind regards,

Peter
