Describe the issue

Roon Core Machine

Hey @Skip_Jenkins,

Thanks for writing in - we’ll need more information from your setup to properly assist you.

What machine are you running Roon Server on? Try rebooting both your Roon Server machine, any Roon remotes, as well as your router, and let me know if you still have issues.

Thank you!

Hi Benjamin,

Thanks for responding. The Roon Server is on:

Model: NUC11PAHi7

OS: Windows 11 Pro

CPU: 11th Gen Intel(R)Core™ i7-1165G7 @ 2.80GHz

RAM: 32.0 GB, Speed: 3200 MT/s

I’ve rebooted the Roon Server/NUC, and all of my devices that run Roon, multiple times.

Hello @Skip_Jenkins,

Thank you for the update.

Please uninstall Roon via Settings → Apps → Installed Apps.
During the uninstall process, make sure to leave the “Remove database” box unchecked, so your Roon data remains intact.

After that, please download the latest installer from the following page:

Install Roon again using this fresh installer, and let us know how things go afterward.

Thanks!

Thanks Vadim. I don’t see a “Remove database” box when I start the uninstall process. When I start the Uninstall process I get a message that says “This app and its related info will be uninstalled.” I believe that if I then continue and click the Uninstall button, the app will be fully removed without an opportunity for me to prevent the database from being removed.

Good day @Skip_Jenkins !

In such a case pleas use this article as a manual (

) and save your database some elsewhere to the computer and then put it back after you reinstall Roon.

Let us know please whether it works.

Regards.

Hi Alex,
Sorry for the delay getting back to you. That worked. My Roon Server is back up and running with all of my album edits still intact! Thank you!
Unfortunately, I have lost my connection to the laptop and DAC that run my listening system and I can’t get Roon to find it again. When I go to Settings>Audio, the laptop/DAC are no longer listed as devices and I can’t get to the Device Setup or Find My Device screens. Should I uninstall/reinstall on the laptop? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for all of your help so far.

Hello @Skip_Jenkins

Thank you for the update. It would be a good first, let’s make sure we rule out any installation issues on the endpoint that’s not visible.

Please completely remove Roon from that device, then reinstall it and log back in to your Roon account.
Once done, check if the endpoint appears again in the list and let us know the result.

Thanks Vadim. That worked - I’m back enjoying music through Roon!

Hello @Skip_Jenkins ,

Glad to hear you’re up-and-running again, this is wonderful news. Happy listening!
