Roon application fails to connect and does not display (ref#DUYEF4)

Thank you for the clarifications, I’m not a fan of Windows, if I can still use the server with Ubuntu I would much prefer.

Thank you also for your assistance propose, but I’m not able to make such software operations, even with your perfect help! I think it would be better to ask to a good friend electronic engineer to help me. He is also a music and systems fan, I will give hime the indications in your messages, we will see how to proceed. I’ll stay in touch with you during this phase.

Thank you

Roberto

Hi @Roberto_Pappalardo,

Thanks for the update. Please let us know how it goes with the engineer, and we’ll stay in touch as you work through the next steps.

Hello, the engineer just told me that he saw the hardware server and said that he would install Windows 11, excluding all the various tools from it, making the system’s operation lighter and more manageable by a less experienced user.

The server actual whole memory is 4 disks of 6Tb = 24Tb, excluding the RAID protection is 18Tb net.

The 18Tb are 90% occupied. I was thinking to just keep the 9 Tb music files, excluding all the other movie files. I’m mostly interested in music.

This is how the engineer would operate.

Thank you

Roberto

How do you intend to restore your music files? Windows will not recognise the RAID array, so you will need to have a backup of your music to restore to Windows once the array is broken.
